1. Who I Am and How to Contact Me

I, Tye Newton, am (1) an independent visual designer specializing in brands and websites, and (2) a music artist and song maker, located in Maine, USA. This privacy notice explains what information is collected from visitors to my website, tyenewton.com, which is dedicated to both my design business, Tye Newton Design, and publication and marketing of my music as Tye Newton.

My business and website is operated from the United States of America and intended for U.S.A. audiences; information you provide is processed and stored in the United States.

2. Information I Do and Don’t Collect

I do not knowingly collect personal data that is not deliberately shared with me.

My website does not use cookies, and—except when someone voluntarily uses my website’s contact form or subscribes to my music newsletter—I do not collect any personal data about my website visitors.

3. How I Share Information (Generally, I Don’t)

Information that is voluntarily shared with me will never be shared by me with a third party without express consent from its sender, except in the unlikely event that I am legally compelled to do so.

I share personal information only in these limited circumstances:

Referrals with your consent
If you ask me to connect you with a third party, I will share your information with that third party only as needed to make the connection.

Legal requirements
I may hypothetically be compelled to share information if required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect my own rights, safety, property, or business interests.

4. Third Party Content and External Links

Third-party websites, content, and services accessed via links found on my website are not subject to this privacy notice. Please be mindful that when you follow links from my website to external destinations that I do not control, your interactions there are subject to the privacy practices of those destination websites. I encourage you to review their policies. I am not responsible for the content or privacy practices of third-party websites and services.

I deliberately avoid knowingly embedding content on my website that would enable any third party to identify or track my website’s visitors’ behavior on my website.

5. Partner Service Providers and Aggregate Data Collection

In addition to my no-cookie policy, even the collection of aggregate website traffic data, by partner services, is minimized on my website.

I work with a small number of service providers to operate my website and conduct my business. Each of the following partner services operates according to its own privacy policy.

5.a – Website Analytics

Cronitor (cronitor.com)

I use Cronitor, a privacy-focused analytics service, to understand aggregate website usage, like page views and general traffic patterns. This information can help me make decisions to improve my website.

5.b – Website Hosting and Contact Form

Webflow (webflow.com)

My website is hosted by Webflow, which (as is standard for website hosts) may automatically log standard technical information—such as IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited—for security and operational purposes. My website contact form is also facilitated by Webflow, which transmits all such communications to my email address.

5.c – Email Hosting

Apple (icloud.com)

Email communications sent to me—either using my website contact form or directly to my email addresses—are received and hosted by Apple’s iCloud servers. Replies to my music newsletter emails (see "Email Marketing" below, in this Section) are also received and hosted by Apple’s iCloud servers.

5.d – Email Marketing

Brevo (brevo.com), Cloudflare (cloudflare.com)

While technically not a function of my website, visitors who subscribe to my music newsletter must accept the privacy policy of my email-marketing service provider, Brevo. To reasonably ensure that each subscription was intentionally initiated by a human owner of the subscribing email address, my music newsletter form uses a Cloudflare’s Turnstile captcha followed by a "double–opt-in" process, requiring a second confirmation by following a link sent to the subscribing email address. Each music newsletter email I send includes a link to unsubscribe. Opting out of music news updates will not affect any unrelated communications to or from me. Replies to my music newsletter emails are directed to my email address, and received and hosted by Apple’s iCloud servers (see "5.c – Email Hosting" above, in this Section).

6. How Collected Information Is Used

I, and/or my partner service providers (see Section 4), may use the above collected information to:

• Respond to your communications with me
• Provide my design-business services
• Initiate referrals that you have requested
• Send music news updates to those who have subscribed to receive them (see "5.d – Email Marketing" in Section 5)
• Offer digital media, merchandise, or services to support my business
• Coordinate meetings and events
• Understand how my website is used in aggregate, to inform decisions aimed at improving it
• Maintain the security of my website and operations
• Comply with applicable law

7. Data Retention

I keep personal information only as long as I have a legitimate business need for it—for example, to maintain business records as required for tax and accounting purposes, or to continue serving updates to subscribers. Because my business and audience relationships are often ongoing, I do not currently apply a fixed automatic deletion schedule. However, you can request deletion of your information at any time (see Section 8), and I will honor your request unless I am legally required to retain certain records.

8. Your Choices and Rights

Regardless of where you live, you may contact me (see Section 1) to:

• Request a record of the personal information I have about you
• Correct information that is inaccurate or outdated
• Delete your personal information, subject to legal retention requirements
• Opt out of email updates

I will respond to verified requests within a reasonable time, generally within 30 days. I will never discriminate against you or deny you services for exercising these choices.

9. Children’s Privacy

My website and services are directed to adults. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age. If you believe a child under 13 has provided me personal information, please contact me and I will delete it.

10. Security

I take reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect the information I hold, including limiting access to those who need it and working with reputable service providers. That said, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and I cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes to This Policy

I may update this Privacy Policy in the event that I change what partner service providers I work with or make a change to my practices. When I do, I will post the updated Privacy Policy on this page and revise the Effective Date at the top, and I will make reasonable efforts to call attention to material changes. Your continued use of my website after an update indicates that you accept the revised Privacy Policy.
